The Clydesdale is a Scottish breed of draught horse.
# This breed was originally used for agriculture, hauling coal on Lanarkshire and heavy hauling in Glasgow.
# The Clydesdale is a spirited and intelligent horse. It can be tender and gentle-hearted.
# These horses are good riding horses, and have been ridden throughout history.
# The Clydesdale can reach up to speeds of 20mph.
# Adult Clydesdales are 6 feet tall at the shoulder and (usually) weigh 1,600-2,200 pounds and live up 20-25 years of age.
# A Clydesdale measures 17-19 hands (1.7-1.9m / 5.7-6.3ft).
# This breed has a straight nose, big ears and small-arched long neck. It's well defined withers and short back makes it a powerful workhorse.
