 Let’s Appreciate That Sun

“Be someone’s sunshine when their skies are grey”

A good way to cheer yourself up is to go and cheer someone else up.

We appreciate it when a friend or loved one tries to help us when we are feeling low, so why not try to ‘give back’ some of that cheerfulness.

This is also good for our mental health too, because we feel ‘good’ when we help others.

This also takes our minds off of our own troubles, putting our thoughts onto a more Positive level — which is always Good.

We all appreciate the sun coming out after a dark storm, so let’s be that ‘sun’ when we know someone is or see someone sad.

This could apply to the person we got on the same bus or train with, a gentle smile and: “Hello” can make all the difference to that person’s day.

 We Should Respect This

“You have to do what is right for you. No one walks in your shoes”.

We are all different!

Every single one of us has our own reasons for living in a particular way.

And we should Respect this!

We all have our own experiences in life which determine how and why we do a certain thing or live in a certain way.

If it's not harming anyone, why should we question it?

Only we know why, only we can understand, and (sometimes) only we will ever know.

All of this shows that we are all individuals, with our own personalities and our own ways.

Again, we should Respect this!

We all live on this Earth and we want to live in Peace, so let’s do this in a Respectful way.

And the Earth is a beautiful planet just like you are a beautiful person.

 Yours Is The Only One That Matters

“If it makes you happy, no one else’s opinion should matter”.

This is a good way to show others that we own our own minds and lives.

We need to do things that make us personally happy because of the effect this has on our mental health.

And we must look after our mental health.

Our mental health is vital for our physical health.

So, whatever makes you personally happy, do it and don’t give anyone else’s opinion a thought. If they were a real friend, he or she would be happy that you are happy.

Why not make a list of all the things that make you happy and tick off as you do each one, and you’ll be smiling in no time.

Remember, your opinion is the only one that matters!

 The Right Mental Attitude

“Go to bed knowing you did the best you could”

Let your best be Positive and Strong.

We have busy lives and, because of this, we don’t always remember to put that effort into being Positive. The day just goes by and before we know it, we’re in bed and ready to go to sleep.

What do you think of just before you go to sleep?

Thinking of something Positive before going to sleep means that you will wake up (hopefully) with that Positive thought in your head, which will help to set you up to have a Positive day.

Will we do our “Best” today?

How has what we did today affected us?

With the right mental attitude we will do our best, which will give us the Confidence also to accept who we are.

“Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen”.

Which do you want?

To just dream all day and have nothing ‘in your hand’?

Or to get up and make that dream a reality?

The hard work will be worth it and will give you a real sense of accomplishment.

Which will make you Proud of yourself?

We may need to study ‘for our dream’.

We may need to adopt a different schedule (for a short while) in order to ‘see’ our dream.

The beauty of today is that, no matter what circumstance we find ourselves in, most ‘dreams’ can be achieved and come true.

You just need to Believe In Yourself!

 Colourful And Musical

“Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder”.

There is always something good to see in (almost) everything.

We just need to ‘open our eyes’ and look for it or see it.

Waking up with the mental attitude that we Will see something Positive that day will Encourage us to ‘look for it’.

Thinking in a Positive way will also help us.

For example: we live on a beautiful planet which is full of life, colourful and musical.

This is Positive.

Listen when the birds sing during the Dawn Chorus.

Stroke your neighbours cat as you go to work or college.

Cuddle your loved one when you take his or her shopping to them.

All of these are Positive things.

Move Forward

 Move Forward

“Don’t stress about the closed doors behind you. New doors are opening if you keep moving forward”.

I really like this quote.

It’s encouraging us not to dwell on the past, which we cannot change, and to look forwards to the future: “New doors are opening”.

However, to do this, we must “keep moving forward”.

It comes down to our Mental Attitude.

To dwell on the past ‘can’ be a negative thing.

To move forward to the ‘new doors opening’ is a Positive way of looking at life.

What type of person do we want to be?

A negative person or a Positive person?

To be a Positive person is much better for us Mentally and Physically.
