Give Medicine A Helping Hand

“Health does not always come from medicine. Most of the time it comes from peace of mind, peace in the heart, peace in the soul. It comes from laughter and love”

We live in a world where medicine answers all of the health issues.

A pill to fix that headache, we all know ‘the drill’.

However, attitudes are slowly changing.

The emphasis is becoming more on helping ourselves then relying on manmade medicine.

Don’t get me wrong, medicine saves lives and the doctors and nurses are ‘miracle-workers’.

But we can “help ourselves” too.

A positive spirit keeps the mind more peaceful, and the more tranquil our minds are, the calmer our bodies are.

Giving ourselves time to rest and ‘heal’, and filling our days with love and laughter, will give us that peace of mind which will keep our bodies ‘peaceful’.

There is nothing wrong with giving medicine a ‘helping hand’ too.

Our everyday health will improve if we prioritize our self-care, every single day.

 We Need To Do This Every Day

“Respect your body when it’s asking for a break. Respect your mind when it’s seeking rest. Honour yourself when you need a moment for yourself”

We live in such a fast-paced and busy world, that we forget, or do not even think about, stopping and resting.

We are just as important as those we care for, so we should give ourselves that precious time to basically ‘look after ourselves’.

Our bodies and minds are not machines and need rest.

This is important to remember!

When we give ourselves time to rest, refresh and rejuvenate, we are respecting ourselves, our bodies and our minds.

It is important to put “self-care” at the top of the list because we want to have healthy bodies and healthy minds.

Taking five or ten minutes every day for ourselves is not selfish but necessary.

We want to be healthy and happy.

We ‘deserve’ to be healthy and happy.

When you are tired, listen to your body and mind and stop for that cup of tea, and make sure you have a proper lunch.

We say it to others so we should ‘listen to our own words’.

Respect.

Honour.
