 You Are Just As Important

"Make yourself a priority once in a while. It's not selfish. It's necessary"

We never think it's selfish when we look after ourselves Physically.

We take vitamins and try to eat and exercise in a Healthy way, and this is 'taking care of ourselves'.

Why is it any different when we look after ourselves Mentally?

It is Important to give ourselves Time to Rest, Relax and Rebuild.

We are busy all day long and we have hardly any time to sit down and have a cup of tea, which is why we must make the time, schedule it, plan it.

In other words --- Control our Time.

By doing this we are also showing Respect to Ourselves.

Sitting down for fifteen minutes every day to just 'look after ourselves' will Help us to de-stress and clear our Minds.

Also, we are resting our bodies Physically which is a necessity.

Why is resting our Minds any different?

This is also a Good way of finding out what we Personally need to stay Balanced in our Lives.

When we look after ourselves Mentally, we are caring for ourselves Emotionally, and both will have a Positive effect on us Physically.

Remember "You" are just as Important as everybody else.

It Is Important to Accept Life for what it is.

We cannot change the past but we can Learn from it.

And it can only Help to 'free' our Minds when we let go of past hurts.

We need to have Faith in Today.

We need to have Faith in Tomorrow.

We need to have Faith in Ourselves!

Acceptance brings Peace.

And Peace of Mind means Peace within our Lives.

There is 'Power' in Positive Thinking. 

And in this way we will have Control over our own Lives.

When we do all of this, we can start to Move Forwards in our own Lives.

Good And Happy Memories

 Good And Happy Memories

"The best things in Life are free: hugs, smiles, friends, kisses, family, sleep, love, laughter and good memories!"

How true is this!

Material objects are nice to have but they cannot talk, listen, do or hug.

One of our earliest and most comforting memories is of mother cuddling us as a baby, smiling and talking to us.

Even today, at over fifty years old, I can still remember my mum's brooch of two white cats curled up together.

A Beautiful memory of my mother who is no longer with us.

And what would we do for just one more cuddle with our loved ones?

Whilst we are Altogether and Alive, let's Love and Appreciate each other 'Today'.

Each one of us has their own Unique Smile.

Every one of us has that Special Laugh.

How 'often' do we Smile and Laugh?

How much 'time' do we spend with our loved ones?

"Time" itself is free but goes by so quickly that if we 'blink', we miss it.

Let's "use" our Time wisely and really take in these Beautiful 'aspects' of Life.

A Hug.

A Smile.

A Friend.

A Kiss.

Family. 

Sleep.

Love.

Laughter.

A garden full of flowers looks and smells Beautiful.

Each variety of flower looks exquisite in its own way, and each flower stands out as Unique.

How Beautiful this is to our Eyes and Minds.

Did you know that there are roughly 250,000 to 400,000 species of flowering plants in this world.

And although there are only one species of 'human', the variety or number of 'races' can be anything from 3 to over 60.

Everyone is Unique and Special and 'Colourful' in their own way.

And this makes Life so Interesting!

The 'variety' of human Life on this Earth compliments the other Life that is here, (birds, animals, etc).

And isn't a Beautiful garden full of flowers "Peaceful!"

This is something that we humans can Learn from.

To Accept and Respect each other is Priceless.

If we Believe that we 'can' do something, we usually do it!

Our mindset has everything to do with our Self-Belief.

Self-Awareness and Self-Acceptance adds to this Positive Belief.

A Good morning routine of Positive Meditation, and saying Optimistic Affirmations, will Help us Strengthen our Minds to have Strong Belief in Ourselves.

We often spend so much time 'thinking' about 'who we are not' or the person we 'wish' we were, that we literally 'waste' our time.

And this can lead to depression because our Minds can be 'stuck' in the past.

We need to avoid this!

Look at "who" you are today and be "Proud of Yourself".

The society we Live in can have unrealistic influence on us, especially when it comes to 'standards' of beauty or lifestyle.

We must not listen to this!

We should "Accept"\ Ourselves for who "WE" are, because only we know what we have gone through, and what has made us 'who' we are 'Today'.

We must embrace our flaws, learn from them and use these to Improve our Lives.

Self-Love is so Important!

It is not selfish but it is Caring for Ourselves.

This will give us the Confidence that we need to have in Ourselves.

And it will Help us Mentally to be Positive about our Lives and Ourselves.

There is Beauty in 'imperfection', which really is only "being yourself".

Every morning we wake up is a new opportunity to grow into the person we want to be.

After (hopefully) a good night's sleep, our Minds are Clear, Fresh and Ready to 'start again' building itself up to become Strong and Positive towards Life.

Having that Good Meditation routine keeps us Stable, Determined and resilient every day.

This sets us up for the day.

And to have a Good day.

When we plan and set goals for ourselves, we are showing ourselves and others that we "Want" to change our Lives for the Better.

When we put these plans 'into action', we are "Proving" that we actually do want to change our Lives.

But remember to break these plans down into 'achievable steps', and you will feel so Good as you accomplish each step and tick it off.

And don't stop or be put off if you 'trip up' and make a mistake.

Learn from the mistake and move on.

You won't need to start from the beginning again.

You could apply this to real physical food.

Or,

You could apply this Mentally, (or even physically).

We all Live very busy Lives, and when someone asks us to add that one extra thing to our day, think before you do!

Am I taking on too much?

During our Lives, we start to 'listen' to ourselves, and realize where we need to put up 'boundaries' in order to Protect ourselves.

Mentally,

Emotionally,

and Physically.

We know these words well: "that triggered my Mind".

So we must avoid things that 'trigger'.

When we have worked so hard to get into a 'Good Place' in our Minds, which puts us in a Good place in our Lives, we do not want to let anything 'slide' us backwards.

It is the simple fact to "Think before you Do!"

This is a nice quote to say to yourself every single day.

Every day we do face 'something' negative, it's just the world we Live in.

So every day, we need to continuously "Stay Positive" throughout the day.

And when we come home, still Positive, still Smiling --- We Have WON!

You will also have a more "Peaceful Mind".

It Is a choice.

Do you want to 'give in' and be sad and depressed, and have headaches?

Or,

Do you want to "Stay Positive", Strong and Happy, with a Peaceful Mind?

A Good example of this is when someone has had a terrible accident and ends up in hospital.

It may take months (or possibly years) to get anywhere near 'normal' again.

With that Positive Spirit, he or she finally recovers and leaves hospital, to go home to be with his or her Loved ones.

Maybe something similar happened to you or me.

When we look in the mirror every evening, Smile and say: "I WON!"

"Before starting the day, tell yourself 5 things you're proud of yourself for. Let's start off our days with celebrating ourselves"

We do feel Good when we 'pat ourselves on our backs'.

And we should do this more often.

It Is not selfish!

It Is "looking after ourselves".

Self-Reflection may be a new idea to us but why?

We look in a physical mirror every morning to make ourselves look 'Presentable' and 'Good' for the day.

There is no difference when we look into our 'Mental' mirror and remind ourselves of how well we are doing in our Lives.

This will Help our Mental Health.

We have overcome many challenges in our Lives, and we should remember and be Proud of this.

We always 'celebrate' what others do, why are we not 'celebrating' what "WE" have done?

And this is easy to put into our daily routine.

When we sit down for our breakfast every morning, get out that Gratitude journal and write down these 5 things that you are Proud of accomplishing, big or small.

It may have been something you did yesterday.

It may have been something you have never forgotten from junior school.

You will be surprised how quickly you fill that journal up.

 Showing Respect Is Having Control

"If they respect you, respect them. If they disrespect you, still respect them. Do not let the actions of others to decrease your good manners, because you represent yourself not others"

'Do you have to follow the crowd?'

Did your mum or dad ever say this to you, especially when you were at school?

Or even a teacher?

We do not have to follow others, especially if their 'standards' are not the same as ours.

We do not need to loose our "Good Mannars" for 'them', especially when we have worked so hard to 'raise' ours.

And remember that mirror!

Would I want 'that' said or done to me?

This involves a certain amount of 'Self-discipline' to not allow yourself to lower to their level.

Respect is a very Important word, and it is something that we all need to show and deserve. 

The word means: 'a feeling of admiration or a deferential action shown towards someone or something that is considered important or valuable'.

And it can also mean to treat someone with kindness and care, or to accept the importance of their rights or customs.

So basically, Respect the other human being.

Plus, when we continue to show Respect 'against all odds', we rae having that very Positive impact on others.

And we are showing that we have Control of our Lives.

An open wound can become infected, which is why we must Learn to 'close' it and let it heal and 'move on'.

And like a physical wound, we never forget how it happened but we have Learnt 'never to do that again'!

It is never good to keep going over something that hurt us, especially in the mind, because it is like picking at an open wound, and this will only harm us.

No, we Learn to forgive ourselves and then we move Forwards in our Lives, avoiding that 'mistake' in the Future. 

We need to find that Balance between remembering the 'lesson' but forgetting the hurt.

When we do this, we Learn to Appreciate "us" and what "we" have gone through, and how Strong all of this has made us.

We  Learn to set Healthy boundaries in our Minds, and we start to "Love Ourselves" for who we really are.

Worry and stress have such a negative affect on our Minds that it can cause headaches and can actually make us very ill Physically. 

A Mind that has Faith and Belief in Life have a Positive affect on our Minds, which gives us a Peaceful 'soul' and a Quiet and Happy Physical Body.

Faith is so Important for us to have in our Lives today.

"Hope" is such a Poweful and Beautiful word.

It means: "a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen".

This is an Optimistic 'state of mind'.

Another word to describe "Hope" is Confidence. 

The quote is Encouraging us to "stay hopeful", which is having a Positive Mind --- all of the time.

This can be difficult, especially when we have had disappointments in the past.

Plus, we can doubt ourselves, possibly lowering expectations of what we can do in our Lives.

Maybe others have done this to us, saying such things as: 'you will never amount to much'.

Ignore them!

Ignore your own self-doubts!

Every single one of us is capable of doing anything in our Lives, we just need to Believe In Ourselves. 

When we set goals that we CAN reach, and then we reach them and go further --- Hope is in our own hands for the rest of our Lives.

Our Futures are something to 'look forward to'.

A mother may not know if she is having a girl or a boy, but she is Hopeful for a Healthy baby.

We do not always know what tomorrow will bring, but we "Hope" that we will be Happy.

We are under enough pressure every day to do what others 'expect' of us, do not add to that pressure by 'expecting' too much from yourself.

Every one of us is doing the very best we can, often without even thinking about it.

Many put themselves under too much stress by trying to keep up with what 'society' expects of them, but this is only making them ill, especially affecting their Mental Health. 

None of us are "Perfect", but as long as we are Happy and Healthy, that is "all" that matters.

We get through a lot in our day, very often running around others (which is very commendable), but we do tend to 'forget about us'.

When we accept that we are doing our best, we are accepting ourselves for 'who we are'.

And this is Important when it comes to being "Gentle" with ourselves. 

We must not ignore our minds and bodies when we need to rest, and just 'stop', sit down and rest.

This will Benefit us Mentally, Emotionally and Physically. 

Be Kind to Yourself because "you are doing the best you can".

When you look in a mirror who do you see?

The only reflection that you see ----- is Yours!

It I estimated that there are 8 billion people Living on this Earth.

And each person is Unique in their own way.

This includes You and Me.

The Beauty of Living in 'today's' world I that we have a fair amount of Freedom to 'Live as we want to Live'.

We also must Remember to give ourselves some time to 'look after ourselves', not just Physically but Mentally too.

We are so busy looking after others that, sometimes, we forget that we need to practice 'Self-Care' on ourselves. 

Others very often give us advice, kind advice too, but we must 'do want is right' for ourselves. 

Physically. 

Emotionally. 

Mentally. 

This is not selfish but it is necessary for our "Health".

 It Comes Down To Trust

"The biggest wall you've gotta climb is the one you build in your mind"

How true is this!

We do often build a wall up in our minds to Protect ourselves, which is understandable. 

Overtime though, we find that we no longer need that wall, and it is difficult to 'break down' that wall because it can be hard for us to Trust.

Trust others.

Trust Life.

Even to Trust ourselves. 

One of the first things that we need to do is to 'Accept' ourselves for 'who' we are and to 'Love' ourselves. 

Once we 'Love', we then come to realize that we do not need that Mental wall up, because we are "Safe".

We are not going to hurt ourselves Mentally, and neither are most people.

Loves ones, friends and even strangers, most people want the 'Best' for others.

And we must Learn to "Trust" this.

Filling our Minds with Positive thoughts will Help to eliminate self-doubts, which will eventually break down that wall in our Minds.

Sometimes, it is a Good idea to just sit down and 'think', and remember 'why' you put that wall up in the first place.

And when you 'realize' that you no longer need it, Trust Yourself enough to get rid of that 'wall', knowing that you are Safe now.

Trust in Life.

"Attitude" is a very Powerful aspect of our Lives.

And the Attitude that we show will have either a Positive or a negative effect, not just on ourselves, but on others too.

The word "Attitude" means: a settled way of thinking or feeling about something.

To a certain degree, this shows a certain amount of 'forethought' or 'planning'.

Instead of just flying off the handle, we need to be Determined that we will 'deal' with certain situations with a certain Positive and Optimistic Attitude.

The more we are in "Control" of our Minds, the Stronger our Attitude will be towards a Calm and Peaceful day.

In this way, we won't allow stress to overtake us, but we will 'kick it out' with a Strong Attitude towards Life.

 Turn The Page Into Joy

"A lot of the pain that we are dealing with are really only thoughts"

It really is quite interesting how much our 'thoughts' can Control us.

The question is: can I "Control" my own thoughts?

"Pain" can come from so many different places and we don't always recognize 'where' the pain is coming from.

As the quote reminds us, a lot of the pain is from our own Minds and thoughts.

And it is interesting how much 'Physical' pain these 'thoughts' can cause our hearts.

This is where a lot of depression comes from.

Our Minds can quite often 're-live' something in our past, and because we 'keep' going over it, 'Emotional' pain kicks in, and this cycle can make us very ill Mentally, which will have a Physical effect on our bodies.

We need to break this negative cycle 'before' it takes a hold on our Minds.

As soon as we 'recognize' what is happening, we need to do something Positive to 'change' the direction of our Minds, and find a way of turning the pain into Joy.

Try to Focus on something or someone you Love.

Even sitting quietly, listening to the birds, can have an Amazing effect on our Minds.

The Beauty of Living today, though, is the very real fact that "Help Is Available", because sometimes we do need that little bit of extra Help.

And "Visualizing" a Nice and Strong Future, for ourselves and our Loved one, will Help us to 'dream' nice dreams.

Why should we wait to be Happy?

There will never be 'the right moment' so we have to 'make' the right moment ourselves.

Life will always be 'moving' on and so we need to Love and Appreciate what we have and who we have in our Lives now, today, so as not to miss out on anything.

The danger of 'waiting' for that 'Perfect Life'  is that time goes by so quickly that we will miss out altogether.

What we need to do is take our Lives in both hands and Enjoy Our Lives NOW, Today!

We never want to look back and see what we have missed.

We can never get back missed opportunities BUT we 'CAN' make new opportunities Today.

When we are Grateful for the things that we do have in our Lives, and Appreciate these Today, we are much Happier within ourselves.

And we often show this Happiness in 'how' we Live our Lives today.

Living in the present moment will Help us to Accept not just our Lives, but also Ourselves and who we are.

And never compare your Life with someone else's, because we are all Special and Unique in our own way.

We always Appreciate it when someone takes the time to Help us, and even sit down and listen to us.

That 'act of Kindness' proves to us that we are not alone and that there are Good people in this world.

Have you ever been that Kind and Nice person?

Of course you have, in fact, we do these type of things on such a regular basis that we don't necessarily 'think' about what we are doing and how it effects others.

This doesn't mean that this is easy though, and, sometimes, we have to remember the Power of Positivity.

Not only does this Help us as individuals to 'cope' with stress, but it also has the 'ripple' effect onto other people.

This 'kind' of Positivity also Helps us to have the Confidence to make the right decisions in our Lives.

And when we are Helping others, we are also Helping 'them' to do the same thing.

Hope.

Optimism.

Courage.

Kindness.

 Our Future Is In Our Hands

"The future depends on what you do today"

What we do today will effect how we will Live tomorrow.

But when we think like this, we are showing everyone that we have "Control" of our Lives.

And even the smallest of Positive steps today can have the biggest impact on our tomorrows.

Set a goal, it doesn't matter how small, for 'tomorrow' and tick it off as you 'do' it.

Sometimes, it is the smallest but persistent 'routines' which have the most Optimistic outlook for the Future.

One Good 'daily routine' to have is Daily Positive Affirmations.

When we are constantly saying these to ourselves and writing them down every single day, it is Amazing how our Minds are Built Up, not just for that day but for the next day, and so on into the Future.

And instead of thinking of the "Future" as years away, think of it as tomorrow, next week or even next month.

This Helps our Minds to 'see' that planning for the Future is 'manageable', and it is easier to tick off as we go.

In this way, we will feel that we have "Accomplished" something within our Lives.

And that our Future is in Our Hands.

"Leave footprints of love and kindness wherever you go"

How do we want to be known?

As a Kind, Happy and Loving person?

We know the expression to 'follow in a person's footsteps'.

For Christians, this is usually the Christ.

For others, it could be  King or Queen,

Or even a sports person. 

But, how do we want others to "see" us?

We Live such busy Lives that we rarely have time to 'think' about this.

It Is A Good idea to just stop and rest and give yourself some time to 'think'.

If nothing else, the Physical rest will be Good for you.

Treating others with Respect and Kindness is something we do without thinking, and we never know how 'that's effects the other person. 

We do not know what others have gone through, and a kind word really can make all the difference to their day.

The more "Positive" that we try to personally spread, the more the 'ripple' Effect.

At The End Of The Day

 At The End Of The Day

 "Always end the night with a Positive thought"

This will also Help our Minds to Dream Nicely. 

"Positivity" has a Power all of its own.

Like the Law of Attraction of 'like Attracts like', so is the Power of Positivity. 

Positive Builds Up.

Positive Strengthens.

Positive Attracts Positive. 

The word "Positive" is a 'desirable or constructive quality or attribute'.

Optimistic. 

Confident. 

All of this can only Help us to have a Peaceful sleep, because we will have a quiet mind.

Self-Care at the end of the day is such a Good idea because of all of the Benefits we will receive. 

Mentally. 

Emotionally. 

Physically. 

Have you ever gone to sleep with a tune in your head and woken up, the next morning, with the same tune going round your head?

Why not keep a Positive thought in your mind and you'll wake up with that same thought, starting your day off 'on a Positive note'.

Positive Affirmations are so Good for us Mentally that we literally cannot have enough of them.

Like we look after ourselves Physically before going to bed, so we need to Learn to look after ourselves Mentally.

 Look Forwards And Be Happy

"Never be defined by your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence"

This is a Good Reminder that Life Goes On.

And we need to Remember, that people Love us for 'who' we are and not because of our past.

We Learn from the past, like a lesson in a classroom.

And like we finish school and move onto work, so we finish with the past and move onto the Future.

Whilst it is Good to 'reflect' on past situations, remembering how we dealt with them and got through them, it is not Good Mentally to stay in the past.

And our Mental Health is one of the most Important aspects of our Lives.

When others do not 'define' us by our past, neither should we!

Let go of past 'habits' that could be holding you back, and "Look Ahead" to becoming a Better version of Yourself.

And a Happier version of Yourself.

Stop thinking 'what if' and start thinking 'I Am!'

I am moving Forward in my Life!

I am becoming much Happier within myself!

I am Living in the present and looking Forward to the Future!

 Don't Miss Out!

"Never wait. Life goes faster than you think"

Procrastination is a long word.

It means: "the action of delaying or postponing something".

Some people 'do' this because they are nervous of the 'unknown'.

However, if we never "do" anything, we will never "Learn" anything. 

And, very often, we could miss out on something Wonderful in Life.

It Is so True isn't it, that Life goes by so fast that, it seems, that if we 'blink', we will miss "It".

Our children grow up so quickly that they become adults before we realise, and aunts and uncles are always saying: 'haven't they grown up so quickly!'

All of this makes us want to Learn to "Be In The Moment" so that we try not to ever miss out on anything in our Lives.

Is it even possible to slow down time?

I'm not sure if we can slow down time, but we can "Control" out Time.

And this Helps us to 'Be in the Moment'.

We will also 'know' what we will be doing taking the fear out of the 'unknown'.

Then, we will not miss out on much of this Amazing and Beautiful Life that we have on this Earth.
