Improve Your Memory Tips
1/ when you need to remember something important, create an image within your mind that is 'funny' or 'bizarre'. Your brain remembers things that are 'out of the ordinary.'
2/ Make written lists = "Write It Down!"
3/ get good and enough sleep. Your brain uses its sleeping hours to put 'new information' into long term memory storage.
4/ when you need to remember a phone number (for example), break up the numbers into smaller chunks = 555-216-9827. Most people can remember 2 or 3 numbers in a row.
5/ to help you remember and learn something = "Repetition and Review" are the Key = every day for a few minutes for a week (longer if needed).
6/ practice "Memorization" as a fun exercise. Every few days, pick a poem or a passage to memorize (something you like), then write it out and / or speak it out loud.
7/ simplify your routine, get regular exercise and practice daily meditation. Reduce stress in your life and this will help you to concentrate and to think clearly.
