The word Encouragement means: the action of giving someone support, confidence and hope.

This is something that all of us need — support, confidence and hope.

It is true that we can help ourselves by helping others.

So let’s be known as the Cheerful and Encouraging friend, instead of the moaning one.

When we show our Positive attitude, people are drawn to us because everyone loves to Smile and Laugh.

It is true, there is enough criticism in this world which can become very discouraging.

To be Encouraging is also good for our Mental Health, which is so Important in our lives.

By us all being that Encourager — we are all helping each other.

It is in our nature, as humans, to copy others.

We learnt how to eat, drink and speak by copying our parents, and we learnt acceptable behaviour by copying our family (usually).

Every one of us ‘has an opinion’ which we all try to respect.

However, we can only change the world around us by our Example.

We always want to set a good Example for our children.

How about setting a good Example for our friends and the people we meet?

How?

By that lovely smile and those Positive words.

It does ‘rub off’ onto others.

 Push Them Out

“Don’t carry your mistakes around with you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones”

Our minds are the most important part of our bodies, because the mind controls every aspect of us, as a person.

From our emotions to our dreams to our hearts and to every organ in our bodies, our minds have full control.

We, therefore, need to Control our minds.

Every one of us makes mistakes in our lives, some of them are big, some of them are small.

What we need to Remember is to learn from these mistakes and use that knowledge to learn from and to progress in our lives.

We can help ourselves by keeping that Gratitude journal, writing down everyday the good things that are in our lives.

These Positive words will ‘push out’ the negative mistakes.

A Kind Word

 A Kind Word

“People don’t fake depression. They fake being okay. Remember that. Be Kind”

We are all such good ‘actors’ and ‘actresses’ that we hide behind the mask of “everything’s OK” and no one really knows what we are feeling or thinking.

We appreciate that person who goes that extra mile to sit down and listen to us.

They are showing that they Respect us.

Depression affects the mind and a person becomes depressed after going through a ‘difficult time’, and sometimes all he or she needs is to ‘talk it out’ to clear their mind.

And like we appreciate that help and Respect ourselves, so would he or she.

“Be Kind”.

Other words for Kindness or Kind are: Compassionate, Mild, Tender.

Sometimes that is all a person needs — a kind word — to make them feel a little better.

You Will Be Stronger

 You Will Be Stronger

“You can’t calm the storm — so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass”

The Earth is the only ‘thing’ that will always be here, so with the Earth on our side, any problems do not stand a chance.

The Earth is our home.

We feel secure here.

So we need to remember that when we are going through a difficult time, we will come through it and still be secure, here on Earth.

Also, we can meditate and ‘practice’ staying Calm when we are living in good times.

Take those Precious 10 to 15 minutes every day to rest, relax and rebuild, and to build up your Mind to be Positive, Strong and Confident.

Remember those affirmations.

“I will get through this and be Stronger for getting through it!”

 We Can Be That Person

“Be kind. Everyone is still healing from things they don’t speak about”

This applies to every one of us, every day.

Every single one of us is healing from something every day, we just may not realise it.

We may not always speak about it.

We appreciate it when someone is kind to us, especially when we are ill or going through a difficult time.

How good does it feel when we are kind to someone who we know is going through ‘something’?

A kind word can ease a sad heart.

A kind action can calm a worried mind.

When someone really needs to sit down and just talk — can we be that person who sits down with them — and just listens?

We Need To Put Time Aside

 We Need To Put Time Aside

“A little progress each day adds up to big results”

Little and often!

A concert pianist plays so well because he or she practiced every single day of their lives, and still practices.

A baby, when learning to walk, takes tiny steps every single day until he or she can walk quite confidently on their own.

A student will study every single day to become that doctor, and even then, will continue to update his or her knowledge.

This is something that we need to continually remind ourselves.

And this also applies to our Mental Health.

Sitting down, every single day, and giving our minds a chance to rest, renew and rebuild itself will help us to be Strong and Positive people in Life.

We need to make Time for this and not just ‘snatch’ a few minutes here or a few minutes there. 

We need to actually put Time aside to Meditate every single day of our Lives.
