When we look after our Lives, we are letting others know that we are in Control.

Control of our Minds.

Control of what we are doing Today.

Control of our Futures.

When we schedule "|Self-Care" into our daily routine, we are 'recharging, refocusing and prioritizing' our own Health.

Mental,

Emotional and

Physical.

We all work so hard in our everyday Lives that Caring for ourselves is a Necessity.

Plus, we Deserve a little pampering.

Self-Care is not selfish.

It is "Needed" !

To be the best versions of ourselves, we need to practice this every single day, if only for ten minutes.

For our Mental Self-Care we can Meditate, maybe Learn something that we have always wanted to Learn, and we can set goals, ticking them off as we go.

For Emotional Self-Care we can do Journaling every day and do some form of 'Therapy', (I love colouring).

For Physical Self-Care we can eat healthily, exercise sensibly and make time to rest, to give our bodies time to rebuild.

All of this will Help us to Feel Happy, Strong and Determined towards Life.

As well as looking Beautiful, a Smile also has Health Benefits.

Scientific evidence proves that a "Smile" releases 'endorphins', and these are natural pain relievers.

'Endorphins' give out "feel-good" chemicals which can only give us that Positive mindset, which is so Important in today's world.

All of this reduces stress and anxiety, getting rid of that negativity.

Also, 'Positive Energy' is 'catching' to those around us.

When some one smiles at you, it is 'automatic' to Smile back.

When some one Smiles at us, they are 'welcoming' us into a conversation or to sit down or into 'their world'.

A Smile also boosts Confidence.

Make up does make a person look Nice, and put together with a "Smile", you look Radiant.

And, of course, a Smile is so much more cheaper than make up because a Smile is Free.

When we Smile it has a 'ripple effect'.

But first of all, right at the beginning of the day, remember to look in the mirror and Smile at Yourself.

It Is Good to be cautious and to 'weigh up' certain 'things' that could come into our Lives.

This is necessary to Protect Ourselves. 

But we need to keep that Balance.

When we are 'practicing' this every day, when the smaller things face us, we will have that much more Confidence in what can go right, when the larger things come along into our Lives.

Believing in Yourself is the same as Trusting in Yourself. 

You know what you are capable of and you have Confidence in your own Abilities. 

This proves to others that you have Control of your Life. 

Aw with all things, "Belief" starts in the Mind.

You remember what you have gone through in the past and 'how' you handled certain problems and situations. 

This 'Knowledge' builds up that Trust in Yourself that you "CAN" get through 'it' and will to your own Benefit.

Building up the Mind in this way is so Important! 

What we 'Think' in our Mind comes out in what we do and how we handle things.

This 'kind' of Confidence in Ourselves drives our Motivation, that we will not be afraid of our Future, knowing that our own Lives, our very Futures, are safely in our own Hands.

Staying Positive is one of the main ways in which we can build up that Belief in our own Abilities. 

Self-Belief Is So Powerful that it "Influences" what we think about ourselves and what we do every day.

 Stay In Control Mentally

"I focus on what I can control and I let go of what I can't"

A Good way of working through this is to think about and write down what you "CAN" Control.

Now do the same with what you 'can't' Control.

Which list is longer?

When something comes along that we can't seem to "Control", ask the question: 'Is it really that Important?'

Or,

'Is it really our of my Control?

It may just need a slight adjustment in our Lives or even our Minds.

We can't Control what other people do but we can Control what we personally do and think.

It is very rare that our Lives are completely out of our Control.

when writing this, I was reminded of the millions of people who were sent to the concentration camps by the Nazism during the Second World War.

These people's Lives were changed, and within hours, and out of their Control.

They had no Control on what they wore, ate and did.

Their Futures were no longer in their own hands.

Thankfully, the war was won and thousands survived these terrible camps, to gain back Control of their Lives again.

Of course, our 'problems' today are no where near 'this', but they are still real to us.

Believe in what you can Control and Mentally You Are In Control.

“When some things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for the many things that are going right”

It is always Best to Focus on something Positive and Good because this Helps to Strengthen the Mind.

When we look at roses we see their Beautiful colours and smell their Lovely scent.

And we are Careful of their thorns!

Many times, our Lives are like these roses.

We have a Cheerful and Busy Life, with one or two problems or ‘thorns’.

But it is Better for us Mentally to look at the Good things in our Lives.

Thorns on roses are there to protect the rose, very much like the one or two problems we have we can Learn from.

Do not ‘allow’ a small problem to ruin your Peace of Mind, when you can look at all the Good things in your Life and be Happy.

This is where our daily Gratitude comes to MInd, because every day we are reflecting on the good in our Lives that there is no room for anything negative.

Plus, when something goes wrong, we can Learn from it, dealing with it quickly and avoiding that mistake in the Future.

We have more roses in our Lives than thorns.

Our Beliefs and what we Believe in are formed from an early age.

The obvious 'Belief' is religion and we often follow what our parents teach us.

But what about Believing in our own Abilities?

This is quite often forgotten.

Society has its own expectations and many of us are 'raised' in a certain culture.

A lot of these things can pressure us into becoming some one we just do not want to be.

This is why it is so Important to 'Listen To Ourselves' and 'What We Want'.

As with any 'kind' of Belief, it comes down to what is in our Minds.

What am I doing?

Do I really want this?

When we get to that certain age, there is nothing wrong with 'breaking free' and being "who" we Want to be.

Most parents would rather their 'child' was Happy than simply a 'copy'.

And you owe it to yourself to 'be who you Believe you can be'.

This will Improve our Self-Confidence and Increase our Self-Esteem.

And because we are Happy when we are 'truly us', our Mental Health can only Improve.

Many times, when we try to find ourselves, we realize that we already know who we are anyway.

So why are we wasting our time?

It is far better to think seriously about "who" we want to be and use our time in 'creating' this new person.

This shows others that we have Control of our Lives.

This also 'frees' us to be 'who we want to be'.

Use the time to practice Self-Care and 'plan' your Life.

Even if it only seems to be a dream, think about it anyway, even writing the dream down and how how you would like to Achieve it.

You'd be surprised how many 'Dreams' actually do come true.

Spend your time in Cultivating Your Dream.

But before you 'create' this 'new person', just make sure that you really 'want' to be 'that new person'.

If you're Happy as you are, there is nothing wrong with staying as you are.

Either way, you are still Special.

Positivity Won!

"A negative mind will never give you a positive life"

Like oil and water never mixes, the negative and the positive will never mix.

The 'two' cannot reside together, side by side, in the one place.

It is either negative 'or' Positive.

It is difficult to break out of a negative thinking cycle, when our Mind keeps going back to the past, and we keep re-living a past situation.

This destroys our Minds and stops us thinking about the Future.

Plus, this 'allows' depression to creep in and we definately do not want that to happen.

When we realize that something has triggered our Minds and we 'start' to slip backwards, we need to get up and do something Positive to change our Mindset towards a Positive and \Optimistic one.

There is only room for "One" in our Minds, so let's make sure that "One" is always "Positivity".

You'll be surprised how quickly your Life will become Positive.

The more Positive the friend, the better the Positive influence.

All of this Helps us to overcome the difficult 'situations' which face us every day.

"Visualization" is a very Good way of overcoming doubts about ourselves.

When we "Visualize" that we Can do something, especially if it is difficult for us personally, all things seem and are possible.

Sometimes, doing things together, with a friend, Encourages both parties to Accomplish things 'we never knew we could do'.

"Make yourself a priority once in a while. It's not selfish. It's necessary"

We never think it's selfish when we look after ourselves Physically.

We take vitamins and try to eat and exercise in a Healthy way, and this is 'taking care of ourselves'.

Why is it any different when we look after ourselves Mentally?

It is Important to give ourselves Time to Rest, Relax and Rebuild.

We are busy all day long and we have hardly any time to sit down and have a cup of tea, which is why we must make the time, schedule it, plan it.

In other words --- Control our Time.

By doing this we are also showing Respect to Ourselves.

Sitting down for fifteen minutes every day to just 'look after ourselves' will Help us to de-stress and clear our Minds.

Also, we are resting our bodies Physically which is a necessity.

Why is resting our Minds any different?

This is also a Good way of finding out what we Personally need to stay Balanced in our Lives.

When we look after ourselves Mentally, we are caring for ourselves Emotionally, and both will have a Positive effect on us Physically.

Remember "You" are just as Important as everybody else.

 Good And Happy Memories

"The best things in Life are free: hugs, smiles, friends, kisses, family, sleep, love, laughter and good memories!"

How true is this!

Material objects are nice to have but they cannot talk, listen, do or hug.

One of our earliest and most comforting memories is of mother cuddling us as a baby, smiling and talking to us.

Even today, at over fifty years old, I can still remember my mum's brooch of two white cats curled up together.

A Beautiful memory of my mother who is no longer with us.

And what would we do for just one more cuddle with our loved ones?

Whilst we are Altogether and Alive, let's Love and Appreciate each other 'Today'.

Each one of us has their own Unique Smile.

Every one of us has that Special Laugh.

How 'often' do we Smile and Laugh?

How much 'time' do we spend with our loved ones?

"Time" itself is free but goes by so quickly that if we 'blink', we miss it.

Let's "use" our Time wisely and really take in these Beautiful 'aspects' of Life.

A garden full of flowers looks and smells Beautiful.

Each variety of flower looks exquisite in its own way, and each flower stands out as Unique.

How Beautiful this is to our Eyes and Minds.

Did you know that there are roughly 250,000 to 400,000 species of flowering plants in this world.

And although there are only one species of 'human', the variety or number of 'races' can be anything from 3 to over 60.

Everyone is Unique and Special and 'Colourful' in their own way.

And this makes Life so Interesting!

The 'variety' of human Life on this Earth compliments the other Life that is here, (birds, animals, etc).

And isn't a Beautiful garden full of flowers "Peaceful!"

This is something that we humans can Learn from.

 You Are Perfect Just being You

We often spend so much time 'thinking' about 'who we are not' or the person we 'wish' we were, that we literally 'waste' our time.

And this can lead to depression because our Minds can be 'stuck' in the past.

We need to avoid this!

Look at "who" you are today and be "Proud of Yourself".

The society we Live in can have unrealistic influence on us, especially when it comes to 'standards' of beauty or lifestyle.

We must not listen to this!

We should "Accept"\ Ourselves for who "WE" are, because only we know what we have gone through, and what has made us 'who' we are 'Today'.

We must embrace our flaws, learn from them and use these to Improve our Lives.

Self-Love is so Important!

It is not selfish but it is Caring for Ourselves.

This will give us the Confidence that we need to have in Ourselves.

And it will Help us Mentally to be Positive about our Lives and Ourselves.

There is Beauty in 'imperfection', which really is only "being yourself".

 As Long As We Are Alive

"Every day is another chance to change your life"

Every morning we wake up is a new opportunity to grow into the person we want to be.

After (hopefully) a good night's sleep, our Minds are Clear, Fresh and Ready to 'start again' building itself up to become Strong and Positive towards Life.

Having that Good Meditation routine keeps us Stable, Determined and resilient every day.

This sets us up for the day.

And to have a Good day.

When we plan and set goals for ourselves, we are showing ourselves and others that we "Want" to change our Lives for the Better.

When we put these plans 'into action', we are "Proving" that we actually do want to change our Lives.

But remember to break these plans down into 'achievable steps', and you will feel so Good as you accomplish each step and tick it off.

And don't stop or be put off if you 'trip up' and make a mistake.

Learn from the mistake and move on.

You won't need to start from the beginning again.

Believe In Yourself!

As long as we are Alive, every day really is a chance to have a Strong and Positive Life.

Do I Feel Good?

 Do I Feel Good?

"Look down at your plate and ask: Is this going to make me feel good?"

You could apply this to real physical food.

Or,

You could apply this Mentally, (or even physically).

We all Live very busy Lives, and when someone asks us to add that one extra thing to our day, think before you do!

Am I taking on too much?

During our Lives, we start to 'listen' to ourselves, and realize where we need to put up 'boundaries' in order to Protect ourselves.

Mentally,

Emotionally,

and Physically.

We know these words well: "that triggered my Mind".

So we must avoid things that 'trigger'.

When we have worked so hard to get into a 'Good Place' in our Minds, which puts us in a Good place in our Lives, we do not want to let anything 'slide' us backwards.

It is the simple fact to "Think before you Do!"

Will this film, friend, book, or even 'situation', make me feel Good about myself?

 A Positive Mind Will Always Win

"When you stay positive in a negative situation, you win"

This is a nice quote to say to yourself every single day.

Every day we do face 'something' negative, it's just the world we Live in.

So every day, we need to continuously "Stay Positive" throughout the day.

And when we come home, still Positive, still Smiling --- We Have WON!

You will also have a more "Peaceful Mind".

It Is a choice.

Do you want to 'give in' and be sad and depressed, and have headaches?

Or,

Do you want to "Stay Positive", Strong and Happy, with a Peaceful Mind?

A Good example of this is when someone has had a terrible accident and ends up in hospital.

It may take months (or possibly years) to get anywhere near 'normal' again.

With that Positive Spirit, he or she finally recovers and leaves hospital, to go home to be with his or her Loved ones.

Maybe something similar happened to you or me.

When we look in the mirror every evening, Smile and say: "I WON!"

 "I'm Proud Of You"

"Before starting the day, tell yourself 5 things you're proud of yourself for. Let's start off our days with celebrating ourselves"

We do feel Good when we 'pat ourselves on our backs'.

And we should do this more often.

It Is not selfish!

It Is "looking after ourselves".

Self-Reflection may be a new idea to us but why?

We look in a physical mirror every morning to make ourselves look 'Presentable' and 'Good' for the day.

There is no difference when we look into our 'Mental' mirror and remind ourselves of how well we are doing in our Lives.

This will Help our Mental Health.

We have overcome many challenges in our Lives, and we should remember and be Proud of this.

We always 'celebrate' what others do, why are we not 'celebrating' what "WE" have done?

And this is easy to put into our daily routine.

When we sit down for our breakfast every morning, get out that Gratitude journal and write down these 5 things that you are Proud of accomplishing, big or small.

It may have been something you did yesterday.

It may have been something you have never forgotten from junior school.

You will be surprised how quickly you fill that journal up.

 Showing Respect Is Having Control

"If they respect you, respect them. If they disrespect you, still respect them. Do not let the actions of others to decrease your good manners, because you represent yourself not others"

'Do you have to follow the crowd?'

Did your mum or dad ever say this to you, especially when you were at school?

Or even a teacher?

We do not have to follow others, especially if their 'standards' are not the same as ours.

We do not need to loose our "Good Mannars" for 'them', especially when we have worked so hard to 'raise' ours.

And remember that mirror!

Would I want 'that' said or done to me?

This involves a certain amount of 'Self-discipline' to not allow yourself to lower to their level.

Respect is a very Important word, and it is something that we all need to show and deserve. 

The word means: 'a feeling of admiration or a deferential action shown towards someone or something that is considered important or valuable'.

And it can also mean to treat someone with kindness and care, or to accept the importance of their rights or customs.

So basically, Respect the other human being.

Plus, when we continue to show Respect 'against all odds', we rae having that very Positive impact on others.

And we are showing that we have Control of our Lives.
