 Have That Healthy Mental Diet

“Sometimes the weight you need to lose isn’t on your body”

“Weight” can be mental and / or emotional, as well as physical.

We concentrate a great deal on losing weight off of our bodies, but it is just as important to “free” our minds of the weight that stress and worry can bring.

Our minds are equally as important as our bodies are.

True health comes from feeling confident from within ourselves.

True happiness comes from prioritizing our self-care which includes our mental health.

When we are over weight physically, (for whatever reason), it is hard and difficult to physically move.

Having the ‘weight’ of stress and worry in our minds stops us from moving forwards mentally.

Physical.

Emotional.

Mental.

With a well-balanced diet and balanced exercise, we can achieve a desired and healthy physical weight.

This applies just the same to our mental health.

Taking time, every single day, to have a healthy diet of positive meditation will encourage us to have a healthy mindset, as well as a healthy lifestyle.

Remember, the mind controls the body, so we should give the mind the same amount of time to be healthy and to stay healthy.

Draw Inspiration From Them

“Strong people rarely have an easy past”

This is something that we should always try to remember.

When we look at people who have achieved amazing things in their lives, we rarely see the struggles that they have had to overcome.

They have been through many challenging times but it is their strength and their resilience that has got them to where they are today.

And this is something that we need to remember.

None of us are born into an ‘easy’ world, so instead of comparing ourselves to others, let’s embrace our own struggles and use them as stepping-stones in strengthening our own talents and individual skills.

This way, we can see what we, as individuals, are capable of and can achieve.

What seems difficult and hard today, we will look back on and feel proud when we remember how we overcame such challenging times.

Each small ‘win’ builds up to become bigger ‘wins’ on our journey of life.

Instead of comparing ourselves to these ‘great’ people, let’s draw inspiration from their ‘stories’, even as others draw inspiration from ours.

 Face It ‘Head On’

“Whatever your challenge is, worrying about it won’t help. Either do something to address it, or do something to move past it”

Worrying does not help anything or anyone.

When we worry, our minds become ‘clogged’ and can never move past the problem or find a solution.

We need to take control before it gets to a worrying stage.

Then we can find a solution to the problem or let it go and move past it.

Sometimes it is better to face the problem ‘head on’ and deal with it sooner rather than later.

And then we can continue on our journey of life.

We need to focus on what we can do and then take positive action to do it.

By overcoming hurdles in this way, we are becoming more resilient in life and stronger.

 The Power Is In Our Hands

“You can’t calm the storm. What you can do is calm yourself, and the storm will gradually pass”

This is not always an easy thing to remember.

Sometimes, when a ‘situation’ comes along, especially one we were just not expecting, our emotions bubble up’ and it can all seem overwhelming.

It is at a time like this that we need to keep control. 

Control of our minds.

Control of our emotions.

Control of what we physically do.

This is not easy!

Being human, we ‘react’ in a certain way and it is our ‘reactions’ that we need to control.

The challenge, situation or ‘storm’ will pass.

How we individually ‘deal with it’ is what we have to live with.

The more control we have, in any situation, the calmer we will be.

And it is more important to stay calm than anything else during a ‘situation’.

When we focus on our own thinking, our own thoughts and our emotions, we are finding that inner peace that we deserve to have.

Then we will be able to ‘weather the storm’ with grace and resilience.

The power to stay in control and calm, during any situation, is in our own hands.
